Your Shake Protein Choices DO Matter

Why it’s so important to have a company that goes above and beyond to test for things that even organic passes.

Heavy metals?✔️
No thank you!✖️

Education is SO important for us as consumers because what we see is not always the whole story! The nutrition we have for our family is tested beyond organic standards and tests for all the heavy metals and toxins we don’t want in our food.

Just because it comes from a Co-op and has the word "organic" on it, it DOES NOT mean that it's 100% pure!

The Clean Label Project tested a single serving size of 134 popular protein powders and discovered that many of them contain heavy metals such as arsenic (OMG REALLY?!), cadmium, mercury, and lead in addition to contaminants such as pesticides and BPA.

The powders that fared the worst include that I know so many of my friends eat because they feel they can just grab from a Costco or WholeFoods (and think they’re doing a body good):

1.) Garden of Life Organic Shake & Meal Replacement Chocolate Cacao Raw Organic Meal

2.) Nature’s Best Isopure Creamy Vanilla Zero Carb

3.) Quest Chocolate Milkshake Protein Powder

4.) 360Cut Performance Supplements 360PRO Whey Chocolate Silk Premium

5.) Vega Sport Plant-Based Vanilla Performance Protein.

Plant-based powders scored poorer scores than the whey- and egg-based picks because they absorb whatever is in the ground. Please do your research wisely and if you need a pure, safe nutrition product, just reach out .
